Initially I came to Copper State FIT because a friend of mine (Amber Smith) had such great results from the program and she was my motivator to make the first consultation phone call. In talking with Coach Adam that first time I remember telling him, “I don’t know that I am 100% ready to commit”. He said to me, “You will never do it if you wait until you’re 100% ready”. That comment right there did it for me. He was right, why did I have to wait until I was all in? Weight loss is a process, a journey and you have to start somewhere.When I first started this process I had little motivation and wasn’t really sure if I could commit 100% to this. I have two beautiful daughters and along with that came weight gain on top of weight gain during both of my pregnancies. I had severe dizzy spells during my pregnancy if I didn’t eat every few hours. So the pounds packed on.I didn’t lose all of my baby weight after my first daughter and so when I became pregnant with my second I got pretty heavy. I gave myself 3 months after having my second daughter to get my weight in check. I remember thinking to myself I just want to take my kids to the pool and wear a suit and solely be focused on them and not the way that I looked in that suit or going out in public and not worrying anymore about my weight.I felt so selfish because all I thought about was myself and my weight. I had become so unhappy and every situation I constantly worried about how fat I looked. I had skinny fat days where I wasn’t bothered completely by how I looked and then I had fat fat days where my weight was the center of my universe but I did NOTHING to change it. I felt sorry for myself.I invested nothing into my health thinking one day it will change… I’ll just magically lose it all. What a dream, Right?! Then I decided to actively try something different and that’s where Copper State FIT came into my life. With only a little motivation, initially, but a whole LOT of want to and need to I jumped in with CSF and started my weight loss journey.From day one the ball started slowly rolling for me and it continued to pick up speed as the weeks went by. I was shocked by how much I was learning and how quickly the weight was falling off. I never felt like I was starving or deprived of food. In fact, I felt the complete opposite. I felt more energy than I ever have because I was eating good whole foods.I remember looking at my initial pictures and the pictures from my first month into the program and comparing the two you can see the tiredness and lack of energy disappear from my face. I didn’t realize how bad I felt until I started feeling good.. really good. There were good days and bad days but the big picture showed that over time there was a steady decrease in my weight and my measurements.So far I have lost 55 lbs in 6 months which is incredible for me!! I feel great! While this isn’t the end of my weight loss journey I still can’t believe where I started and how far I’ve come. I can’t thank Copper State FIT and my coach, Dana, enough. The knowledge that I have gained is so important and powerful. Life changing.
