As a retired teacher, mother of 6 and grandmother of 3, Jeanna has been serving others her whole life. Unfortunately, over the years, as she put others first, her health took a back seat.  As a result, when she attempted to gain control, she fell in the trap of diet deprivation extreme frustration. Jeanna had tried everything. And, with all the information available at her fingertips, via the internet, the paradox of information overload set in and she was lost.

On her initial consultation, Jeanna mentioned her goals as “…be able to work a plan that is healthy… to achieve my fitness goals with the hope of helping other women my age who have just given up.” Once again, selflessly thinking of how she wanted to be an inspiration to others. Well, Jeanna did just that.

Jeanna dropped 22% body fat, trading 46 lbs of fat for 18 lbs of newly earned muscle and a total weight loss of 28 lbs. She lost 18.5 inches from her waist and hips.  Jeanna didn’t accomplish all this without adversity along the way.  Jeanna lost her father-in-law.  And, shortly after, her son was hospitalized for almost 2 months and she spent days on end by his side.  Then, she tragically and unexpectedly lost her brother. And, as if that weren’t enough… Jeanna and her family weathered through hurricane Irma; going without power for days. It’s worth mentioning; NOT ONCE did Jeanna stray from her nutrition plan or her workouts. She literally followed her plan EVERY SINGLE DAY! She “controlled what she could control”.  She is truly an inspiration to all!

Check out what Jeanna had to say below. Then, be sure to listen to her interview on our podcast for a more in depth perspective on at her journey.

I believe with all my heart that God has a unique plan for each of us. With that truth, I have devoted my life to building my faith, my family and my physical well being. However, after seeing photos from a
2016 family vacation, I knew I needed help.

My doctor confirmed what I already knew, I was dangerously obese. Seeking help and through a mutual Instagram friend, I found Adam, the owner of Copper State FIT. In spite of the fact that he was several states away, he began coaching me. Adam listened to me and what I wanted. He created a personal nutritional plan just for me. He taught me about calories, macronutrients, micronutrients and flexible eating. He met with me weekly by phone, making adjustments when necessary.

The program provided an accountability group where fellow members could seek support in a safe place. When I no longer trusted myself with food, I trusted my coach, the support group and I trusted the process and wow, did it deliver.

What did I lose? I lost at least 22% body fat! I lost more inches than I can count. I also lost the inner condemning narrative that said I wasn’t doing enough, which can translate into “I am not enough.” I lost the constant question of how or what should I eat. Yes, I lost all of that.

What did I gain? Me. I gained myself back. I gained my health. I gained a new sustainable way to eat for the rest of my life, without deprivation. I gained a confidence, not because of lost fat, but because I gained knowledge and with that knowledge, I lost fat. I believe that I have gained more years with my family, children and grandchildren. I gained almost 20 pounds of muscle, not a bad thing! Oh, and I lost a whole closet of clothes!

I will be eternally grateful to Adam and Copper State FIT. He aligned my goals with his knowledge, helped me turn my motivation into momentum, and brought me to a place where I can truly be all that I was created to be.
